Hi Helmutas, 1. What is the exact warning and from where do you get it? Are you referring to “Device Manager” utility by mentioning “devices and printers panel”? What device are you trying to connect/use with your Windows 8 computer? What is the status of the device that you are trying to use in the Device Manager? What is the make and model of the computer?
Let’s try the following troubleshooting methods and check if that helps. Method 1: Run the Hardware Troubleshooter The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter. A) Press “Windows Logo” + “W” keys from the keyboard.
I am using the Sitecom CN-524 Bluetooth Dongle with Windows 10 Pro, Version 1607, Build 14393.187. Until yesterday I was using it together with the Microsoft designer mouse. Then, yesterday night Microsoft conducted an update for Windows 10 and apparently deleted the Windows generic bluetooth adapter.
B) Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”. C) In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane. D) Click on “Hardware and Devices”. E) Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”. F) Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
II would also suggest you to check for the latest Bluetooth drivers from the computer manufacturer’s website and if they are available, then download and install them on the computer. Method 2: Update the Bluetooth Driver Software from the Computer Manufacturer’s website Go to the computer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 8 Bluetooth device drivers available for your computer model and then install them by following the instructions given in the website. If the issue persists, please do get back to us with the results of the above methods and with the additional information. It will really help us in understanding the issue better and to resolve it.
